Here are some very healthy reasons to eat yogurt!

*It helps when suffering from diarrhea (dare I use that word on a food blog?!!)

*It helps promote a healthy colon

*It can help lower your cholesterol

*It can reduce yeast infections

*It is easier for you to digest than drinking milk

*It is a very good source for calcium and protein and contains potassium, zinc and vitamins B6 and B12

*It can boost your immunity system

And if you haven't already heard, plain Greek yogurt is the healthiest yogurt to eat because it has twice the protein and also has less lactose.  Just add some fresh fruit to add some flavor and take away some of the tartness.

  1. It can also help with side effects of medications... If you ever have gi issues, have some yogurt with it... But make sure you the the medication doesn't need to be taken on an empty stomach... It helps restore the normal flora (bacteria) in your gut that some medications alter...
