Games and Puzzles

As a child, did you ever play the game when you would take a word and see how many other words you could make from it?  For example, if you took the word brownie, you could make the words:  or, brown, own, ore, etc.  Well I thought it would be fun if you took the word blondie and see how many words you could make.  I came up with 43.  (Who knew one little word could make that many words!)  Did anyone come with more?
