Soup Carrots

I created this dish because I wanted to imitate the taste of the carrots in my mom's homemade chicken soup.  I have always loved them.  I hope you will too!

Soup Carrots

1/2 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 cups carrots, peeled and sliced
1/4 teaspoon dried celery flakes
1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion
1/2 teaspoon basil

In a saucepan, bring broth to a boil.  Add remaining ingredients; return to a boil.  Reduce heat; cover and simmer 5- 7 minutes or until carrots are tender.  Drain.

Servings:  3
