This is my favorite way to use up leftover turkey and gravy and since Thanksgiving is just around the corner, I thought you might want to try this! I usually freeze both the leftover turkey and gravy and then when I need a quick meal, I will unthaw them in the refrigerator before cooking this dish.
Twice Turkey
2 Tablespoons butter
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 celery stalk, diced
1 cup turkey gravy*
1/4 cup milk
3/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon tarragon
1 to 2 cups cooked turkey, chopped
4 servings cooked rice
In a large saucepan on medium heat melt butter . Add onion and celery. Cook for 5 - 6 minutes or until tender. Add gravy, milk, salt, pepper and turkey and stir. Cook on low until heated through. Serve over rice.
Servings: 4
*You can use jarred or canned gravy, but I think homemade tastes best!
