Health and Fitness

We've all heard that salmon and tuna are high in omega-3 fatty acids which are good for your heart, but other fish that have omega-3 fatty acids include mackerel, swordfish, halibut, lake trout and herring.

In general, white fish is generally lower in fat than other types of fish. One of the leanest cuts of fish available is the white sea bass which has almost zero percent body fat.  Besides helping to lower your risk of heart disease, a low fat diet can also lower your risk of diabetes and cancer.

White fish is a good source of protein, B vitamins (good for your skin, cells and immune system), selenium and iodine (both help with thyroid function).
