Did you know that May is known as National Barbecue Month. So. . . in honor of such an auspicious occasion I thought I would share with you a recent barbecue recipe that I made for my family.
Baked Barbecue Chicken
3 boneless chicken breasts, pounded thin and cut in half
1/3cup ketchup
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 1/2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 Tablespoon honey
1 1/2 Tablespoon molasses
pinch garlic powder
pinch onion salt
1/8 teaspoon paprika
pinch red pepper flakes
pinch salt
pinch pepper
1/8 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 Tablespoons flour
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Place chicken in a 9 x 13" casserole. Mix rest of ingredients and pour over chicken. Bake for 45 minutes or until fork tender.
