Adding vegetables to your pizza boosts the nutritional value of your meal by adding vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.  They can reduce the risk of some types of cancers as well as lower blood pressure.  They can even decrease the risk of some heart issues as well as aid in digestion.

To increase the healthiness be careful not to add as much cheese or use a low fat cheese like light mozzarella.

Using a whole grain crust (I will have to use some wheat flour when making my flatbread next time!) will also make eating a white pizza even healthier.

The bottom line. . . pile on the veggies!
