Health and Fitness

Black beans are very high in fiber and protein which benefit the digestive tract.  They help to move your food at a healthier pace through your stomach to the large intestine.

The protein and fiber also help with blood sugar regulation and lower the risk of coronary heat disease and heart attacks.

Black beans are very high in antioxidants which help in cancer prevention.

High levels of folate, which black beans contain, are good for your nervous system .  The folate produces the amino acids that are needed for your nervous system to operate.

Black beans also are rich in other minerals and vitamins.  One of the minerals is the trace mineral molybdenum. Molybdenum helps with the breaking down and the detoxifying of sulfites which are found in foods like wine and salads.  Many people are sensitive to sulfites which may cause rapid heartbeats, headaches or disorientation when consumed.
