Ham & Cheese Stromboli

Trying to figure out what to do with the extra ham from your Easter meal?  Here is a delicious way to use it up.

Ham & Cheese Stromboli

1 pound frozen pizza dough, unthawed*
olive oil
1 Tablespoon mayonnaise
1/2 Tablespoon honey
1/2 Tablespoon mustard
1/2 pound ham, thinly sliced
1 cup cheddar cheese
3/4 cup roasted red peppers and carmelized onions
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
cornmeal
Parmesan cheese
basil

Grease jelly roll pan (or cookie sheet with sides).  Brush dough with oil and cover loosely with plastic wrap.  (I placed mine a silicone mat first)  Let it sit for 10 minutes.  Roll out (with plastic wrap on) to an 18 x 12" rectangle.  Remove plastic wrap.

In a small bowl mix mayonnaise, honey and mustard.  Spread on dough to within 1" of edges.  Layer with ham, cheese and peppers.  Sprinkle garlic powder over all.

Roll up jelly roll style starting with the longer side.  Seal the seam and the edges of stromboli (can sprinkle edges with a little bit of water if it is not sealing well).  Sprinkle with cornmeal, Parmesan cheese and basil.

Cut slits on top (to allow steam to escape) and bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees F. for 20 minutes.  Cover loosely with foil and bake for another 15 - 20 minutes.  Let it sit for 10 minutes before slicing.

*I made my own pizza dough in the bread maker but the frozen pizza dough will also work just fine.
